Fisgard Beach – an active and cherished natural amenity
Fisgard Beach, is surrounded by a variety of unexpected local features that make walking the beach a really interesting experience. Just off the beach is Fisgard lighthouse, the first lighthouse on the West coast of Canada. The lighthouse is in the Fort Rodd Hill national park which is a coast artillery base built in 1890 to protect Victoria and the Esquimalt Naval Base. Both the lighthouse and the fort are National Historic Sites of Canada…what a great amenity in the Aquattro neighborhood!
