Apple pie and great neighbours
I received an apple pie yesterday from one of the residents here at Aquattro as a thank you for helping her get acquainted with her new home and the neighbourhood. She had baked it from the apples she picked in the Aquattro orchard. Let me tell you, the pie smelled and looked amazing! Rather than digging in and eating the entire pie ourselves (trust me, we wanted to!) my daughter Tashi and I went upstairs to visit another resident in our building and brought it as a treat.
We managed to save a couple pieces for Donna and Jeff at the presentation centre to try – I wanted them to taste how delicious the apples are that grow here at Aquattro. We have 81 fruit trees in the 100 year old orchard. The pie was fabulous. Now I have to go pick some apples myself to bake a pie or two.
